Arrival to Moscow. There are four main airports in Moscow. Most of international flights arrive at "Sheremetievo-2" . Some flights may also arrive at "Domodedovo" airport.

How to reach Saratov from Moscow?

There are two main ways:

1) You can take domestic flight Moscow-->Saratov from Domodedovo airport.

This is the fastest way to Saratov. However, you will not be able to book a ticket for domestic flight in your home country . If you select this variant, inform us, please. We will book the ticket.

Also, you will probably need to transfer from Sheremetievo airport to Domodedovo. It takes a few hours (for more details see below).

There are the number of trains to Saratov during the day. It takes about 16 hours to reach Saratov. Actually, you just need to sleep one night in train. We plan to organize assistance for those who will select this way for transportation. Namely, we plan to book tickets, to meet participants of conference at railway station in Moscow, help to find the carrier and seats, etc. Moreover, we will meet the trains in Saratov. If you select this variant, inform us, please, on precise date and time of your arrival in Moscow. In this case, you will need to reach "Paveletskij Vokzal" railway station by yourself (see the next section).

We would recommend you to select between the trains number 10,18, or 184.

• You can take a taxi. It is quite expensive in Moscow (for the trip to "Paveletskij vokzal" you probably will be asked about 70-100 USD, at least.) In addition, most of taxi cars are private and none knows how safely it will be.

• To transfer from Sheremetievo airport to Domodedovo you can take the direct bus, or the two buses to and from the City Air Terminal. The timetable for these buses we are planing to add here soon.

• To transfer from Sheremetievo airport to "Paveletskij vokzal" you can take the shuttle bus to "Rechnoj Vokzal" subway station (the transportation time is about 30 minutes) and then take the subway train directly to "Paveletskij vokzal" (about 30 minutes).
  To do this, you should have the minimal amount of Russian currency to pay for the shuttle bus (about 50 cents=15 Russian rubles) and to pay for subway (4 Russian rubles for one trip).

• To transfer from "Domodedovo" airport to "Paveletskij vokzal" railway station you can take the domestic train from the airport. It will take approximately 40 minutes.

• flight to Sheremetievo (Moscow) --> "Paveletskij Vokzal" railway station --> train to Saratov
  After arrival to Sheremetievo-2 you should take a shuttle bus, then use the Metro (as described here) to reach the Paveletskij Vokzal. Someone from organizing committee will wait for you there before the departure of all trains. You should inform us in advance about your schedule.
  
  Problems:
  
  • You should be able to understand elementary Russian characters to recognize the right shuttle bus and to get off on the right station.

  (We suggest you to focus on this variant. If your arrival time to Moscow is before 15-00 you easily can get a seat in train #10 that is the best choice. Moreover, we probably will meet the participants in Sheremetievo at 16-00 to guide them through the shuttle bus and Metro to Paveletskij Vokzal. We expect the group of conference participants will be collected in one carrier. Thus, the conference can actually start during the way to Saratov :-)

• flight to Sheremetievo (Moscow) --> airport Domodedovo --> flight to Saratov
  After arrival to Sheremetievo 2 you should take direct bus or two connected buses to Domodedovo airport for the flight to Saratov. (the bus timetable will be placed here in 3 weeks).
  Problems:
  
  • You should be able to understand elementary Russian characters to recognize the right bus and, probably, check in location in Domodedovo airport.
  • The transportation between airports takes about 3 hours.
• Special variant Berlin-Moscow-Saratov
  There is the flight from Berlin that arrives at Moscow before the departure of flight to Saratov. It looks as the fastest and simplest way to Saratov. No transportation in Moscow is necessary in this case.
  Problems:
  The time interval between two flights is a little too short. We recommend you discuss this problem in your travel agency.
